Assimilated rules (PSV375)

Daily rest (regular)

11 hours

Minimum continuous rest within each 24-hour period after the previous daily or weekly rest.

Daily rest (reduced)

9 hours

Can be reduced to 9 hours up to 3 times between weekly rest periods.

Weekly rest (regular)

45 hours

Must be taken after at most 6 x 24-hour periods of work.

Weekly rest (reduced)

24 hours

Can be reduced every other week. Compensation required.

Daily driving limit

9 hours

Can be extended to 10 hours twice per week.

Break after driving

45 minutes

Required after no more than 4 hours 30 minutes of driving.
